Original Paintings painted in my Garden Studio on the North Coast of Northern Ireland.
I work across various media, from Watercolours and Inks, to Acrylic Paints and Oil Paints. I love mixed media and the playfulness it provides. I work on both paper and canvas and enjoy the different effects each provides with paint.
I am inspired by the nature that surrounds me, both in the wild, coastal environment in which I live and in the woodlands and gardens just a short distance inland. I feel very strongly about the importance of our local flora and fauna and how we can support it.
I have been planting wildflowers in my garden for a few years now and have learnt so much about them in that time. Not are they so beautiful and delicate, but they truly are best suited to our local environment and the local wildlife. I had no idea of the amount and diversity of birds and insects we have here before I grew wildflowers!
They are such a wonderful subject to paint amongst the dramatic landscape of the North Coast of Ireland.
