'Hold onto Hope' Exhibition currently running at The Arcadia, Portrush until 28th October

Inspired by a sunrise walk in mid winter. It literally stopped me in my tracks and
straight away I knew I needed to paint it!
The North Coast Community is such a special one and I’m so grateful to get to live
here and be a part of it. We are a big, bright and colourful mixture of souls and I felt it
was important to represent that in this painting.
No matter how dark and bleak things seem, the wonderful people of our community
all come together to bring the light, work in harmony and support each other. It’s a
very special place.
I was so honoured to have been commissioned to have this piece of art on the cans
of our local brewery in Portrush, ‘Lacada Brewery’s beer ‘Community of Hope’.
This is their first community beer, brewed to financially assist North Coast Groups
and Projects.

Acrylic on recycled canvas, 135x44cms, £1100.

This painting will be sold by raffle. Tickets are £5 each and will be available to
purchase for the duration of the Exhibition from both The Arcadia and my
website www.sarahmackayart.com.

The winning ticket will be drawn on the closing day of the exhibition, 28th October 2021.

I am also going to donate a percentage of the sale price of this painting to Lacada’s
‘Community of Hope’ Fund.
